I just got one of the 2270g container of the Thera +A 2mm size. I just finished using up my 600g size. In the past I have used the 600g size to refill my 150g size and I use that to feed my fish. It took me about 6 months to go through the 600g container although my fish are bigger now and going through it faster, I estimate that the 2270g container will take me about 2 years to go through.

My question is if I use the 2270g container to fill the 600g container which then I will again use to fill the 150g size, should I store the 2270g bucket in my freezer to help retain freshness. I have been storing the 600g size in my basement but not in my freezer I won't be opening the 2270g except about every 4 to 5 months to refill the 600g container.

I hope I didn't confuse everybody with my question smile.gif

Thanks for the help,

Steve

Hi Steve,

If stored in a cool, dry environment, there should be no need to freeze the main pail for the first 12 months of storage.
After 12 months it wouldn't hurt to store the remaining food in the freezer. Either way nutrient loss should be fairly minimal.
